We Are In An Information War
Dearly beloved of God, there is an information war going on around the world.
God has given us His Word in writing. The Word of God reveals the Will of God to us. The One True and Living God is faithful to His Word, and He is trustworthy. He means what He says, and He says what He means.
On the other hand, the so-called god of this world, our adversary, the devil is the father of lies; there is no truth in him. Everything that comes out of his mouth leads people away from the One True God. He is not trustworthy. He is the deceiver that deceives the whole world.
God, in His capacity as the Originator of information or instructions, communicates clearly, whether He does so by men of God, angels, or by whatever means He chooses.
“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” I Corinthians 2:9
People usually see with their eyes and hear information with their ears, and then they mentally process it, don’t they? That is how one obtains the wisdom of this world, is it not?
The information regarding the mystery of God concerning Christ did not come through the eyes and ears. God revealed this information to the Apostle Paul by His Spirit. God originated the information to the Apostle Paul and He had him write it down so we could understand his knowledge concerning the mystery of Christ.
“But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.” Galatians 1: 11,12
The Apostle Paul did not gain this information through his eyes and ears, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ. This information did not come as natural knowledge comes; it originated with God.
“If you have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward: How that by revelation He made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when you read, you may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto His holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit (by God in His capacity as the Originator of information). Ephesians 3:2-5
What information did God reveal to these apostles and prophets?
“That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of His promise in Christ by the gospel.” Ephesians 3:6
There are two ways to gain knowledge: through the eyes and ears, which is how we obtain natural knowledge, or by revelation from God in His capacity as the Originator of information or instructions.
God does not want us ignorant concerning spiritual matters; He wants us to understand His Word because it makes known His Will.
On the other hand, our adversary the devil does his best to keep God’s people ignorant. He constantly feeds people with his lies to deceive them, and to blind them concerning the truth.
God’s people wander aimlessly without a knowledge of His Word; the adversary wants this to be our reality.
The adversary feeds people error, deceit, and false information. He teaches what is true concerning a previous administration as though it applies to this administration.. He takes scripture out of its context, or teaches what is a figure of speech as though it is a literal truth. He is a deceiver, and a liar. He uses every means at his disposal to deceive people, and lead them astray.
God’s people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. On the other hand, the truth will make you free.
“Who (God) will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” I Timothy 2: 4
That’s pretty clear, is it not?
“Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.” I Corinthians 2:12
God in His capacity as the Originator of information makes known the things that are freely given to us by Him. He makes these things known to us by His Word.
We are in an information war; be careful who and what you listen to. Faith comes by hearing, and by hearing the Word of God.
Choose your reference for truth carefully, dearly beloved. It will determine whether you believe what God says you are in Christ, or that you will believe what you see with your eyes and hear with your ears.
