Just Words

Beloved of the Lord, when we put our believing in God’s words we are standing on holy ground, resurrection ground; we are standing in the presence of God.

When you write a letter does it express your heart, your will, your intentions? Of course, it does. The Word of God is no different; it expresses His heart, His will, and His intentions.

When the Lord Jesus was confronted about the resurrection, he said, “You do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.” God not only revealed His will to us, He has the power to perform it.

When God sent His angel to Mary to give her a message, the angel Gabriel greeted her saying, “Hail, highly favored, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.”

God tells us that in Christ we are highly favored and accepted in the Beloved. It does not matter whether God sent an angel to say it or He had it written by holy men of God; His Word expresses His will and He has the power to perform it.

The angel said that Mary would conceive by Divine conception and she would give birth to the Son of God. Mary asked how this could be, seeing she had not had sexual intercourse with a man?

The angel replied, “For with God not a word He says is impossible of fulfillment.” There is the truth of the matter.

God created the heavens and the earth by His Word. Mary conceived according to His Word and by His power to perform it. He raised Christ from the dead by His power according to His Word. He will send Christ to gather us unto Him by His power to perform His Word. Every miracle is a demonstration of His faithfulness to fulfill His Word by His mighty power in situations that surpass our human ability; they require His intervention.

Mary responded to Gabriel saying, “Behold the handmaid of the Lord: be it unto me according to thy word.”

Whether God says, “Confess Jesus as Lord and believe that God raised him from the dead and you will be saved”, or “You will give birth to the Son of God”, He has the power to perform His Word. He is His Word and He has the power to perform it, to bring it to pass in our lives whether it is His written Word or in situations that He speaks to us by revelation.

When we stand believingly on His Word, whether written or given to us by revelation, He is able and willing to perform it beloved, so believe and witness the salvation of Almighty God. We know the scriptures and the power of God. His Word cannot be broken.
