Why does it say, "Therefore"? Because Christ is coming back for us, both the dead in Christ and those of us who are alive and remain. We have the victory over sin and death because the Lord Jesus Christ gave it to us, beloved.

When he returns for us and we are snatched up and away, delivered from the wrath to come, we will be given new glorious bodies like our Lord’s that death has no power over them, and we will be glorified with him as joint-heirs! That’s what the “therefore” is all about, so labor beloved; the payoff could be any day now!

Nothing could stop the Father from sending His Son the first time, nothing could stop Him from raising His Son from the dead, and nothing is capable of stopping Him from sending His Son back to gather His children unto Him.

He will accomplish all that He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord! It is certain, sure, and fixed!

We have an inheritance that is incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fades not away, reserved in heaven for us, beloved. Work while it is yet day and rejoice; he is coming!

We are workers together with God, therefore labor; it is not in vain in the Lord. Each one of us will receive praise from God when he returns for us. Celebrate it today and every day, dearly beloved.
