Like Father, Like Child
Dearly beloved, when we were born-again of God’s spirit we received the nature of our Father. This new nature enables us to manifest His ability that is born within us, and to love as He loves. We are partakers of His Divine nature!
The love of God was shed abroad in our hearts by the holy spirit that was given unto us; now we can be imitators of God as His dear children, and walk in love as Christ loved us and gave himself for us. The love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation in our lives is the magnet that draws others to us.
The love of God is nothing like the love of man. The world offers power, money, scholasticism, success, recognition, achievement, eroticism, and other fleshly attractions, but none of these can satisfy the human heart.
Where the love of God lives there is fullness of joy where none existed before; there is fellowship where there was once the void of loneliness, and forgiveness that heals the lesions of bitterness. The sweet fragrance of the love of God makes our lives tender, forbearing, and kind to one another. It is strength clothed in gentleness. It is the bond of maturity in the family of God.
The love of God covers over scandal quietly. It seeks healing in the lives of others, not hurt. It thinks no evil; it rejoices in the truth, not evil. It unselfishly gives such as it has to lift others up. This love is the manifestation of God’s heart in our lives.
The love of God in the renewed mind in manifestation is the difference between the coldness of religion and the true reality of the Father and His family. It is the life of God working in us to will and to do of His good pleasure so that we can touch others with the touch of the Master’s hand.
To live without the love of God is to waste our lives in meaningless endeavors. Without the love of God we are nothing. Our works, knowledge, giving,or service without the love of God profits us nothing.
Our Lord said we are to love one another as he loved us. This love never fails. Weary souls walk among us with hearts that are hungering to know the love of God that we have known. Let them hear love’s words, feel it’s touch and lift them into the Father's presence. Give them such as you have. Live love, beloved.
