What About Today?

Dearly beloved, the Day of Salvation is coming and the light affliction we endure today is not worth comparing to the “far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory” that we will share together with Christ as joint-heirs.

Our Father puts the enduring of “our light affliction” for the moment in the proper perspective, does He not? This, “far . . . more . . . exceeding . . . and eternal . . . weight . . . of glory;” will be ours when Christ comes for the Church, which is his body, but, what about today?

We are no longer powerless victims; we are victors, even more than conquerors in Christ!

Why does it say we are “more than conquerors” in Romans 8:37? To be a conqueror would be good, would it not? Napoleon was a conqueror. Julius Caesar and Alexander the Great were conquerors. As great as their exploits were, they were short-lived and their victories only covered a limited domain. What are the boundaries in which we are more than conquerors?

Romans 8: 38 and 39 AV
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Whether in life or even in the grave; no spiritual power – whether angel, spiritual principality or power; nothing in the dimension of time – whether past, present or future; nothing in the dimension of space – whether on earth or in the heavenlies; no created thing can separate us God’s love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord . . . in whom we are more than conquerors.

We are “more than conquerors” because our victory is not only during the fleeting period of this life – it is over death itself.

We are not only “more than conquerors” today, but throughout eternity.

We are “more than conquerors”, not only in the senses realm but also in the spiritual realm. Our Father delivered us from the power of darkness. Nothing in the spirit realm is as powerful as the spirit of God that dwells in us. We have the power to tread over all the power of the adversary!

The reality that “we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us” is a greater reality than any obstacle we may face.

The Apostle Paul said, “I am persuaded . . .” If we are to live as more than conquerors we must arrive at the same conclusion in our lives as he did. Absolutely nothing can separate us from Father’s love for us that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Our Father is greater than anything visible or invisible; known or unknown. We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us, regardless of the adversary’s attacks.

We should constantly be aware of God’s presence in our lives and walk out on His Word with believing because He is the power behind it! Charge! The Almighty, the All-powerful Creator of the heavens and the earth is our Father and nothing is too hard for Him!
