What is Christianity?

Dearly beloved, Christianity is what God has done through Christ and it rests upon his accomplishments. Religion, regardless of the brand, is the work of man; it always works to direct the flesh. It always attempts to make the flesh bring forth spiritual fruit, which is impossible. Flesh is flesh and spirit is spirit, and they do not overlap.

Religion consists of the commandments and doctrines of men.

The Lord Jesus said, “Well hath Isaiah prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written ‘This People draws nigh unto Me with their mouth, and honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me, but in vain do they worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.’ He said that they laid aside the commandment of God, and held on to the traditions of men. He said, “Full well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your own tradition.”

Beloved, the Lord Jesus Christ is the only Savior. He is the only one capable of redeeming us from the sin and the death that Adam brought upon mankind. He is the only one capable of saving us from death as our end. He is the only one who can deliver the creation from the bondage of corruption. He is the only one that can cleanse the heavenly things from Lucifer’s sin.

God pinned the hope of the ages on Christ. He validated his work as the Christ by raising him from the dead, never to die again, and He seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realm in glory.

Christianity is a believer’s completeness in Christ. A Christian stands righteous in Christ’s righteousness, he is sanctified by his sanctification, redeemed by his work of redemption, and we stand in hope of acquiring the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ at his coming. We are complete in him!

We were circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, beloved; we put off the body of the sins of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ.

We were buried with him in baptism into the achievements of his death. We were raised with him through the believing pertaining to the working of God Who raised him from the dead.

We are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh and always will be. If one is to enter the kingdom of God, the Lord said that we must be born again; born of God’s spirit. This is the only way a person can enter the kingdom of God and gain eternal life. We receive the spirit of God and gain entrance into His kingdom when we confess Jesus as Lord and believe that God raised him from the dead.

Through Christ Jesus, we have access by one spirit to the Father and we are sealed for eternal life, beloved. In fact, we are sealed with the promised holy spirit to this end.

Christianity is what God has done through Christ and it rests upon his accomplishments. We have received exceeding great grace; walk in it, beloved.
