What Do You Think?

Dearly beloved, since Jesus Christ is our Lord and we believe that God raised him from the dead we are saved, born again, heaven bound, and all hell can’t stop us from going.

This was God’s idea, His plan for salvation, and He sent His Son to accomplish this for us in our stead. We are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus! Beloved, we are highly favored and dearly beloved ones by the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

What did He have in mind in doing this? He chose us in Christ as a first fruit unto salvation to the acquisition of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. We are going to obtain the glory of our Lord, beloved! In the coming ages He will display the exceeding riches of His grace in kindness to us in Christ Jesus. He had eternity in mind when He determined to do this.

We have most certainly been delivered through believing in Christ, and this salvation is not from ourselves; it is the offering of God. It is not of our works, it is by the Lord’s work. We have nothing to boast about because we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus on the basis of good works that God previously prepared, so that we might walk in them.

Our Father wants us to walk in his accomplishments. Christ did the work to redeem us; believe it. He justified us; believe it. In Christ, we are the righteousness of God, and we stand before our Father without any sense of sin, guilt, or condemnation; believe it. God set us apart in Christ from all other men as His peculiar treasure; believe it. God gave us access to Him by the spirit; use it. Our hope of receiving the glory of God is in Christ; believe it!

This is where we must change our thinking to agree with His thinking. We must assure our hearts before Him, to persuade ourselves with what He says so that our old way of thinking does not condemn us.

Let’s face it; we know too much about our short comings, our past sins, and failures. This causes us to have devilish doubts about ourselves and who we are in Christ. We must persuade ourselves with what God says about us; what He thinks.

If we will persuade ourselves by renewing our minds to think as our Father instructs us to think, we will have confidence in our walks with God, and we will utilize our access to the Father with boldness and confidence. We will have confidence that when we ask in prayer according to His Word, we will receive whatsoever we ask. We will have the confidence in Christ to do the works he did and greater because He went to the Father. We will be certain of His voice.

Beloved, we become Christ-like in our walks to the degree we think as God instructs us to think about ourselves; to think as He thinks about us. Good gracious! He made us holy and without blame before Him; His highly favored and dearly beloved children; why wouldn’t we think like it?

We must renew our minds to who we are in Christ; that’s the key to walking with power from on high! We must condition our thinking with God’s Word to the end it transforms us; not to be conformed to the ideas the god of this world puts forth.

What God did in Christ in us is the witness! Beloved, live like it.
