How Do You See It?

Dearly beloved, there are always two ways to look at things; either from a spiritual perspective, or from a carnal, worldly outlook.

II Corinthians 4:16-18 says, “For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

Our Father puts the enduring of “our light affliction” for the moment in the proper perspective, does He not? This, “far . . . more . . . exceeding . . . and eternal . . . weight . . . of glory” will be ours when Christ comes for the Church. The attacks may seem endless, but the victory is eternal.

God had the prophet Joel write to Israel and say, “I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten . . .” The adversary wants to devour what God has blessed us with in our lives, as a swarm of locusts devours what is in its path, but our Lord will restore everything that the adversary has stolen from us, and much more when he returns. That’s our future reality, but what about today?

There are times that a situation may seem more than we can deal with from a senses perspective and we may be tempted to faint in our minds.

Beloved, God is our sufficiency. Compare your situation to His power, and His willingness to perform His Word! We walk by believing Him at His Word, not by sight.

We must continue to look to our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ for our sufficiency. His grace, His Divine favor is sufficient for us regardless of the attack against us!

We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us; both now and throughout eternity. This is not a platitude; it’s a spiritual reality.

Our attitude should mirror God’s thinking; His will, His ability, and His desire to deliver us. Beloved, what we feed our mind is all we can believe. We must frame our thinking with God’s thoughts.

The Word never becomes a practical reality until we believe it, we say it, and act on it. Walk out on God’s Word.

When we decide to look at things from God’s point of view, we will see them in a different light. We will have a much better perspective than the limited, temporary, fluctuating, weak, worldly outlook that the senses provide.

We are not to be conformed to this world. You cannot trust the senses, beloved. You can trust God; He is faithful.

Keep your eyes fixed on the truth of God’s Word, beloved, and believe what He says. He is the power behind His words. Hide it in your heart, confess it, and walk out on it with trust and confidence. It will be as God says it will be. Keep your head in the game, beloved.
