Faithful Men and Women

Dearly beloved of God, our Heavenly Father wants us to believe Him, to trust Him, to follow Him. He wants us to be a peculiar people, people that believe His Word and walk with Him. He gave us His Word so we could have a contact point with Him; so we could know and be confident of His desires.

If we are to know God and walk with Him, His Word must be our authority for truth. Throughout the epistles we are exhorted to believe the truth God gave by revelation. We are to believe the same truth that He revealed, not something different.

Galatians 1:6-9
I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:
Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

The gospel Paul preached was by the revelation of Jesus Christ. He did not make it up. The gospel he taught lead people to God. He gave them the revelation of what the Lord Jesus Christ accomplished.

II Corinthians 11:3
But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

These saints put up with this teaching much too easily. They were led astray and deceived into believing something that was not the truth of God’s Word. It was different from the gospel of God concerning Christ that he previously taught them.

II Timothy 2:2
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

The easiest way to be run by the adversary is to be asleep at the switch as those in Galatia or Corinth were. God wants us to be faithful.

You can have ability and not use it. You can have knowledge and not apply it. You can even have knowledge and ability and not be faithful. Our Heavenly Father wants us to be faithful.

He desires that we walk in the truth, that we walk in the complete reality of the new birth, that we believe Him and walk in the good pleasure of His will.

God gave us His Word. He gave the revelation of what Jesus Christ accomplished. He gave the gift of the holy spirit, which is power from on high that enables us minister deliverance to people through the operation of the nine manifestations. He freely gave us all things with Christ. How privileged we are!

We should be faithful men and women and walk in what we have freely received, dearly beloved.
