I Reckon So

Dearly beloved of God, sin and death no longer reign over us!

Isaiah 53:12 says, “He [Jesus Christ] was numbered with the transgressors: and He bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.”

That’s why in Luke 22:37, Jesus Christ said, “For I say unto you, that this that is written must yet be accomplished in Me, and He was reckoned among the transgressors:’ for the things concerning me have an end [a fulfillment].”

You see beloved, “He [Jesus Christ] was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5

As Jesus Christ was reckoned with the transgressors, we must now reckon ourselves to be dead indeed unto sin and alive unto God in Christ Jesus! This is the first exhortation God gives to us in the book of Romans.

Knowing that Christ was raised from the dead and he dies no more; death no longer has dominion over him. For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he lives, he lives unto God; likewise reckon you also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God in Christ Jesus!

As certainly as Jesus was reckoned with the transgressors, we are to reckon ourselves to have died to sin and to be alive unto God through Christ Jesus.

We no longer come under the reign of the sin and the death that Adam brought upon us. We received an abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness by the accomplishments of Jesus Christ.

Now we reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ. Now grace reigns through God’s justness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

Now we should present ourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead and live as dead men raised to life! We are new creations in Christ Jesus.

We ought to present our bodies to God as living sacrifices, holy and well-pleasing to God. It’s only reasonable since He raised us from death unto life.

Dearly beloved, you are dead to the sin and the condemnation of the death that Adam brought upon us. Now we are alive unto God; walk in that newness of life and you shall reign in life through Christ Jesus our Lord.

We ought to reckon, to account that we are in Christ Jesus. We should believe who we now are in him, and live as dead men raised to life!

Sin once reigned over us unto death, but now grace reigns through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord!

There is now therefore no more condemnation (no more judgment, no more legal charges) coming to us from God because we are in Christ Jesus; we received the spirit of life in Christ Jesus and it made us free from death dealing sin.

Nothing can separate us from God’s love for us in Christ Jesus our Lord now.

Dearly loved saints, our Father has freely given us all things with Christ! Live to do His will now. Live to be well pleasing sons that do His good pleasure. Rejoice forevermore, and live in thanksgiving for His great love for us.

Live as though Christ is coming today!
