He Will Turn Your Captivity

Dearly beloved of God, God is light, not darkness. His will is only good concerning us. The book of Job reveals the source of our troubles.

Job 1:9-12
Then Satan answered the LORD, “Does Job fear God for nothing?
“Have You not made a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land.
“But put forth Your hand now and touch all that he has; he will surely curse You to Your face.”
Then the LORD said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power, only do not put forth your hand on him.” So Satan departed from the presence of the LORD.

Job 2:7
Then Satan went out from the presence of the LORD and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.

Satan or the devil, is the cause of our troubles. If you skip over to the end of the book you will see that God turned Job’s captivity.

Job 42:7
And the LORD turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice as much as he had before.

Satan or the devil is called the thief in John 10:10. He comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy. God sent His Son, Jesus Christ to deliver those oppressed by the devil. Jesus Christ said, “I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”

Dearly beloved, resist the adversary and he will flee. God has delivered us from the power of darkness, and has transferred us into the kingdom of His beloved Son.

Stand as a son of God with power. Stand with the power of Christ in you, the hope of glory. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his exerted strength for you, dearly beloved.

Put on the whole of armor of God so you can stand against the wiles of the devil because we don’t wrestle with people, or earthly powers; we wrestle against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against wicked spirits in the heavenly realm.

Stand therefore! Ephesians 6:10-18 gives us God’s revelation how we can do it. God will turn your captivity if you will believe His revelation and stand on it, dearly beloved.
