He Sent It

Dearly beloved of God, our God is the LORD our God that heals us. He sent His Son to save us and we were healed by his stripes.

As surely as Jesus Christ died for our sins so that we could live unto righteousness, he paid for our healing with the beatings he took for us.

When he walked the earth, he always did the Father’s will. He went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil because God was with him.

He sent the promise of the Father, the promised gift of holy spirit, and today we have the life-giving spirit of Christ in us. Now we have the ability to do the Father’s will and deliver those in need from the oppression of the devil.

Every child of God has the gift of holy spirit; it is the spirit of sonship born within us. This gift of holy spirit can be manifested by every believer to produce godly profit.

One person does not get one gift, and another person a different gift; we all get the same gift of holy spirit. This one gift of holy spirit produces all nine manifestations.

In I Corinthians 12: 7-11, the nine manifestations are listed by the profit they produce. Verse 7 reveals that “the manifestation of the spirit is given to every man to profit withal.”

Verse 11 then says, “But all these (all nine manifestations) worketh that one and the selfsame spirit, dividing to every man severally (idios: his own) as he will.”

It is the one and selfsame spirit that produces all nine manifestations of the spirit. Each believer must make the deliberate decision to operate them as he wills.

In between verses 7 and 11 the manifestations are listed by the profit they produce. “For to one” (profit) is given by the spirit the word of wisdom; for another profit the word of wisdom, and so on.

The words “for to one” or “to another” refer back to the profit withal in verse 7. Furthermore, we are told six times between verses 7 and 11 that these manifestations are produced by “the spirit,” “the same spirit,” or “selfsame spirit.”

This was “the power from on high” Jesus Christ promised he would send to those who believed on him. This spirit enables every child of God to carry out God’s will and minister deliverance to those in need.

Jesus Christ prophesied, “He that believes on me, the works I do shall he do also; and greater [works] than these shall he do; because I go to the Father.” John 14:12

Rejoice! He has gone to the Father, and he has sent the promise of the Father to all who confess Jesus as Lord, and believe that God raised him from the dead; they are saved, sealed for eternal life, and enabled by his life-giving spirit. And again I say rejoice!

Without the Lord we are nothing; with him we can do all things through the power he has given us. Well….freely you have received, freely give, dearly beloved.
