Who Will Deliver Us?
Dearly beloved of God, our God is able! Our challenges may be great, but our God is greater than any conflict we will ever face.
Our flood is no greater than Noah’s. Our journey is no more difficult than Abraham’s. Our enemy is not a giant like David’s. Our sickness is no worse than Hezekiah’s. Our loss is no worse than Job’s. Our poverty is no worse than the prophet’s wife.
God delivered them all from overwhelming odds against them, and He is faithful; He will deliver us if we will look to Him.
Is your challenge greater than Shadrack, Meshack, and Abednego’s when they were thrown in the burning fiery furnace? Is it greater than Daniel’s in the lion’s den? You may be between a rock and a hard place, but it worse than the one Moses’ faced when the Egyptian army was charging on one side and the sea stood on the other. Our God is willing and able to deliver us as He delivered them if we will go to Him.
He had these examples written for our learning so that we might believe Him as they did and be delivered by Him. His arm is not shortened so that it cannot deliver us!
Our Father is the LORD God Almighty; nothing is too hard for Him! He is our sufficiency in all things, all the time. He always works for our good. He is for us, not against us. He will never leave us or ever, ever forsake us. He said so! Look to Him.
He is more powerful than any hurricane and He can bend its path to His will. He is more powerful than any illness and He will heal anyone as they believe Him at His Word.
The challenges come for us every day. No one is capable of deliverance in themselves, but we have greater resources we can depend on. The One True and Living God is able and willing to deliver us. He has the power and is capable of delivering us. Not only that, He is willing to deliver us. According to His Word, He desires to deliver those who look to Him and believe what He says; it is the good pleasure of His will.
Not only is our God able and willing to deliver us, He is always accessible to us. His throne of grace is open for business. He provided us with access to Him when we were born of His spirit. He exhorts us to come to Him in time of need with boldness and confidence in Christ Jesus and expect His deliverance. We are His kids and He cares for us.
The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is perfect towards Him, dearly beloved.
Take Him at His Word and trust Him. Go to Him with your whole heart and lay your burden at His throne of grace. We are His dearly beloved, and His grace is sufficient for us regardless of the odds against us. He is our Delivering God.
