God’s Wisdom

Dearly beloved, “Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? And one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are numbered. Fear you not therefore, you are of more value than many sparrows.” Yes, you are His dearly beloved, and He cares for you.

The wisdom of this evil age tries to convince us otherwise, but the Father reveals His wisdom to us in His Word, and His Son demonstrated it while he was on earth.

“Come unto me, all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

We have ceased from our works and we rely on his to save and redeem us. In Christ, we have rest to our souls.

We don’t have to be like the religious of this age who would have us think that to get God’s attention we must do all kinds of works before He will listen to our prayers.

“Be not you like unto them: for your Father knows what things you have need of, before you ask Him.” Then the Lord gave them an example of how to pray. What have the religious done? They have turned it into vain repetitions as he instructed them not to do. They think that they will be heard because of their repetitions.

The wisdom of this evil age is not the wisdom of God. Christ is made unto us both the power of God and the wisdom of God.

“But of Him are you in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: that, according as it is written, “He that glories, let him glory in the Lord.”

We call God our Father because we are born of His spirit. He gave us the gift of holy spirit, the spirit of sonship. The Lord Christ Jesus has become a life-giving spirit. We are born of incorruptible seed, beloved, and we are sealed by His spirit unto eternal life. Now we are the children of God and our Father promises that He will freely give us all things with Christ.

He said these things; therefore, we can believe them. He will not let a word of His promise fail.

Every word of God is true and faithful. We can rely on His ability and willingness to perform His Word. The Lord Jesus Christ proved that His word cannot be broken, even if God had to raise him from the dead, and He did!

It is our Father’s good pleasure to perform His Word in our lives. We don’t have to convince Him to do what He promised, we have to convince ourselves that He meant what He said.

“Be careful [anxious, overly concerned, mentally distracted] for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Our Father promises that He will supply all our need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. That should settle it for us, should it not. We have not because we ask not, beloved, so ask, believing that He is good for His Word. Has He spoken and shall He not make it good?

Take up the shield of believing, dearly beloved, with which you will be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Take also the helmet of salvation [deliverance] and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, praying always with every prayer and prayer requests in the spirit and watch thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints.

This is the wisdom of God and the good pleasure of His will for our lives. His Word will not fail, dearly beloved of the Lord. Go to Him with your whole heart. Cast your cares on Him because He cares for you. You are His dearly beloved!
