The Lord of lords

Dearly beloved of God, God made Jesus both Lord and Christ. Jesus Christ was the only begotten Son of God. God, His Father, is the only one above him and He is the one that empowered him and gave him the authority to do His Will. That should be enough for credentials, but there’s more.

God raised Jesus Christ from the dead, validating that he was the Son of God. He ascended into heaven 40 days later and God seated him at His right side. God made Jesus the Christ, Lord both now, and in the ages to come. He made him Lord in heaven and on earth. There has never been anyone else given this kind of power and authority; it was not something a person could take to himself.

Jesus Christ is the Lord of salvation. After God made him both Lord and Christ, the Lord Jesus Christ poured out the promised new birth spirit on Pentecost to those that believed that he was the only begotten son of God and that God raised him from the dead; he is the Lord of salvation.

The Lord Jesus Christ will descend from heaven and gather the members of his body together - both the dead in Christ and those who are alive; they will be caught up to meet him in the air. He is the Lord that will change our vile bodies to be transfigured to be like his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.

Jesus Christ is the Lord far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come. God put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which is his body, the fullness of him that fills all [in his body] in all [with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm].

He is the Lord that will judge the living and the dead; the Father committed all judgment into his hand.

Jesus Christ is the Lord that mediates between God and man. He is the Lord our advocate with the Father.

The Lord that will preside over the Day of the Lord. This Lord of lords and King of kings will lead his army from heaven and defeat the beast and his army when he comes to the earth. He will then reign on the earth for a 1,000 years. He will subdue all enemies and carry out all of God’s judgments until all are fulfilled.

All that are in the graves shall hear his voice, and come forth at his command; some unto the resurrection of life, and others unto the resurrection of damnation. This Lord has vast power under his hand. He is the Lord both of the dead and the living [Rom. 14:9.] He has power that no other man ever dreamed of having.

Jesus Christ is our Lord and we are to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his ability. Our wrestling is against those who he has conquered; that’s why we can be strong in him. He has empowered us as more than conquerors and he gave us the authority to do the works he did and greater because he has gone to the Father and made it available. He poured out power from on high for each member of his body, the Church.

He gave us the right to pray to the Father in his name.
It is unbelievable, but the Father freely gives us all things with Christ!

We are nothing without our Lord and everything in him; called, justified and forgiven, sanctified, redeemed, holy, blameless, righteous, gave us access to the Father by the spirit, and he enabled us by the power of his spirit, Christ in you, the hope of glory; all by his accomplishments, and the Father made us heirs together of the inheritance with him. He is the Lord of glory. [James 2:1]. Beloved, God called us to acquire the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Not all Christians know these truths; no, hardly any of them know these things because no one has taught them. Go, stand, and speak all the words of this life.

We ought to walk in the Lordship of Jesus Christ, dearly beloved. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of his exerted strength for you. Jesus Christ is the Lord of all! [Acts 10:36]
