Are We Blessed or What?

Dearly beloved of God, God the Father of the Lord Jesus Christ is blessed, who blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm.

Our Father is blessed; he is happy about what Christ accomplished, and He was happy to bless us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the realm in which He exists!

If we lacked anything, He would not have said “every.” He said what He meant and He meant what He said! In Christ, he blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm.

What is the basis that He blessed us with every spiritual blessing? Was it because of our goodness? Was it because of our good works? Was it because of anything that we did or did not do? No, the basis was “in Christ.”

“For by grace are you saved through faith [the right way of believing]; and that salvation not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”

How did we receive them? We received them by God’s divine favor, by His friendly willingness to bless us; by His grace.

Dearly beloved, we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus on the basis of Christ’s good works, which God prepared for him to do so that we could walk in what he accomplished by them. We now have all that he accomplished in all of us.

We did not have to send a delegation up to heaven to convince Him to do it; it was His idea! He planned it by the counsel of His own will. He made the necessary preparations. He sent His Son to accomplish it. He raised him from the dead and seated him at His right hand in glory. He decided to freely give us all things with Christ; it was the good pleasure of His will to do it.

What do we have that we did not receive? It is all, in all of us by His grace, dearly beloved.

To mention a few; in Christ He saved us, He justified us from sin and forgave us, made us righteous, sanctified us, redeemed us, made us holy and without blame before Him, gave us the deposit of His spirit that provides us access to Him, and He guarantees us that we will acquire the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ. It’s “all” of them in all of us, dearly beloved.

There is no discrimination in the body of Christ; we each share fully with him, we are complete in Christ Jesus our Lord; filled to the full in him.

We are joint members of his body, and we are joint partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus by the gospel, and joint heirs with Christ,. There is equality of membership in the body of Christ; it’s all in all.

How blessed are we? We could not be more blessed than He has blessed us in Christ.

May our Father open the eyes of our understanding with His Word and by His spirit so that we might believe who we are in Christ and what we have in him.
