A Wanderer No More

Dearly beloved of God, I thank God that I know my end because He has revealed it in His Word. There were years that I did not know the Word of God and the good pleasure of His will. I wandered aimlessly through life, lost, and hopeless. Not anymore!

Where there is no knowledge of God the people wander aimlessly.

“If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9 NIV

This is the Word and Will of God for all men. He would have all men to be saved and come unto the knowledge of the truth.

“God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him [Jesus Christ, God’s only begotten Son] should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

I am one of the “whosoever” and so are you.

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God [and we are]: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he [Christ Jesus the Lord] shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” I John 3:1 and 2

Jesus Christ did what none of us could do for ourselves. He paid the price for the sin and the condemnation brought upon us by Adam. By the grace of God, He accepted Jesus Christ’s sacrifice for sin and death and accounted his accomplishments to us. Now in Christ we stand before God as His sons, and He freely gives us all things with Christ.

“However, God, Who is rich in mercy because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you are saved [delivered]), and He raised us up together and caused us to sit together in the heavenly realm in Christ Jesus so that in the coming ages He might display the exceeding riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.
By grace, you have certainly been saved [delivered] through believing, and this [salvation] is not from yourselves. It is the offering of God. It is not of our works so that no one may boast, for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus on the basis of good works that God previously prepared, so that we may walk in them.” Ephesians 2:4-10 WT, Rev. Walter Cummins

Thank God for His rich mercy and His great love with which He loves us. His grace towards us in Christ changed everything now and forevermore.

Instead of being dead in sin, we are born again of God’s spirit and are alive unto God.

Instead of the condemnation of sin and death, we were justified by the work of Christ.

Instead of being like the common lot of men of the flesh, we are set apart by the spirit from God as sanctified.

Instead of being ungodly and enemies of God, we were reconciled to God by the death of His Son. Much more, being reconciled we shall be saved by his life; we have received the atonement.

Instead of being children of wrath, we are the children of God, and have the hope of receiving the glory of God. We will obtain the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ as heirs together with him!

Instead of death reigning over us, we have the sure hope of everlasting life. When Christ returns he will raise the dead in Christ and change those who are yet living to be like him!

Christ will transform these mortal bodies to be like his glorious body by the power he is able to subject all things to himself. He will gather us together unto him in the air to be glorified together with him, and that forever.

Rejoice forevermore and comfort one another with these words; they are God’s words, and not a single word of His promise shall fail – not one! Every jot and tittle shall be fulfilled as He has spoken. His Word is true and faithful, dearly beloved.

Christ presented us to God as holy, as without blemish as the Lamb sacrificed for us, and unimpeachable in His sight! We are as he is.

I thank God for the good pleasure of His Will revealed to us in His Word. I wander aimlessly no more. How about you?
