Dearly Beloved 09/30/24 Revival

Revival

Dearly beloved of God, God gave us His Word to lead people out of darkness into the glorious gospel of God concerning Jesus Christ so that we could be free and live a life that is more than abundant.

When does revival take place? When God’s Word becomes living and real in a person’s life there is revival. When the Word of God gains ascendency in your life it will change you.

Romans 10:17

So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

Increase My Faith

Dearly beloved of God, if we are to increase our faith, our believing, we must have information from God. “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.” Romans 10:17

All scripture is God-breathed, and it is profitable. It reveals the information that we are to believe.

The Word of God did not come by the will of man, but holy men of God spake as God gave revealed His Word to them. The Word of God reveals the will of God.

The Will of the Father

Dearly beloved of God, grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. God accomplished the purpose of the ages, which He purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord. He sent His Son to save us.

John 1:18

No man hath seen God at any time: the only begotten Son, Which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared Him.

The reason no man had seen God at any time is that God is Spirit according to John 4:24. God sent His only begotten Son to declare Him, to make Him known.

God Is Speaking to You

Dearly beloved of God, the One True and Living God gave us His Word to make Himself known, and so that we could profit from His wisdom.

God’s Word is our point of contact with Him.

II Timothy 3:16

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

The Word of God reveals the Will of God, and it is profitable. It is not my word, nor yours; it is GOD’s WORD. The scriptures are the Living God speaking to us.

Absent from the Body, Present with the Lord

Dearly beloved of God, the Word of God will always interpret itself either in the verse, the context, or where the same subject appears previously.

If we come across a scripture that we do not understand it will have to agree with the many clear scriptures regarding the identical subject for truth cannot contradict itself.

For example, I Thessalonians 4:15-18, and I Corinthians 15:19-23, 51-57, and Philippians 3:20, 21 are clear and they inform us of God’s revelation to the Church of the Grace of God concerning our hope in Christ.

The Foundation of Christianity

Dearly beloved of God, God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son so that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.

God’s love for us is the foundation that Christianity is built upon. God loved and gave to us even when we were dead in sin, without God, and without hope.

I John 3:1,2a

Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God [and we are]: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God….

Can the Dead Communicate with Us?

Dearly beloved of God, truth does not originate from the mind of man, but from the mouth of God. The Word of God is truth, and it is reliable.

We cannot trust our experiences. The five senses can be deceived, or they may be impaired.

Experiences vary with people. For example, spiritualists/spiritists have experiences and Christians have experiences, also. Experiences are no guarantee for truth.

Experiences must be held up to the light of the Word of God to determine the spiritual source which produces them.

God My Father

(Read this post as though it was only written to you personally. Put “I” or “me” in the place of “you, we or us.”)

Dearly beloved of God, the One True and Living God is now God my Father. Since I am born again of the spirit from Him, I have a Spirit-to-spirit relationship.

It was God’s idea to save me by His grace because of His great love for me. The idea of being highly favored and dearly beloved by the Heavenly Father was His idea.

Dearly beloved of God, we are privileged to have the Word of God in writing. We have information and instructions from God that are true and applicable to this very day.

Let’s consider what God revealed to the Church of the grace of God for our believing concerning the gift of holy spirit.

Ephesians 2:18

For through him [Christ Jesus] we both [Judean and Gentile] have access to God by one Spirit [the gift of holy spirit] unto the Father.

Dearly beloved of God, we have a point of contact with God in the new birth. We are born again of the spirit from Him. He is now God our Father, and we are His children. In Christ, we have Spirit to spirit access to the Father.

In Christ we have boldness and access with confidence through the right way of believing in him. We can now boldly speak freely with God our Father.

Hebrews 4:16

Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

Do you see the word, “therefore?” Why can we boldly approach the throne of divine favor and find mercy and grace for timely help?

A Monumental Day in History

Dearly beloved of God, according to the Word of God, and eastern customs and mannerisms, and history, and the science of astronomy, this is the day that our Lord and Savior was born.

Jesus Christ’s birth was marked by astronomical precision in the heavens as Virgo was clothed with the sun and the moon was under her feet, and the visit of angelic beings sent by God to announce the birth of His only begotten Son to humble shepherds abiding in the fields keeping watch over their sheep that evening.

The Hope of Salvation

Dearly beloved of God, God our Father has provided us with a glorious hope. We have the hope of salvation.

I Thessalonians 5:8

But let us, who are of the day be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

We have the hope of salvation today. When the Lord Jesus Christ returns to gather us together to meet him in the air, we will receive what is a certain future reality.

An Expected End

Dearly beloved of God, God’s plan for us today has not changed. He is the LORD God, and He has not changed. He is the same today as He was when He said this to Israel.

Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

God’s thoughts were peace and not evil, and to give them an expected end. What is God’s plan for us today?

You Shall Never Die

Dearly beloved of God, since it is futile to persuade God to believe what we think, we should study His Word so that we can believe what He thinks. This should be obvious, especially about matters that we could not otherwise know.

How do we speak of realities beyond our finite, known reality?

We have two alternatives. We can listen to what people say, whether they are religious, scientific, agnostic, or we can believe the revealed Word of God.

Are You Hungry for Answers?

Dear beloved of God, the Lord Jesus Christ said, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”

We need every word that comes from the mouth of God in order to live, the Lord Jesus Christ said.

I Thessalonians 2:13

For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth the Word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe.

The Complete New Birth Reality

Dearly beloved of God, thank God our Father for His great love for us, and His wonderful mercy, and grace to us in Christ Jesus.

We did not earn this wonderful salvation and redemption; we received it by the grace of God to us in Christ Jesus.

When we were born again of the spirit from God, we received the complete, entire, whole, total package of the new spirit nature, which includes all the rights we have as children of God, all the privileges of our sonship, the spiritual ability that enables us to operate the nine manifestations of holy spirit [it is “power from on high”], and the inheritance that is ours as a child of God.

A Misunderstood Scripture

Dearly beloved of God, when Jesus hung on the cross, he made a statement in answer to a question asked him of a malefactor who was crucified with him.

Luke 23:42, 43 King James Version

42 And he [the malefactor] said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

First of all, when the Bible speaks of paradise, it always refers to a place on earth. Heaven is always a place above the earth.

How Do We Know?

Dearly beloved of God, our God is the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort. He comforts us in all our tribulations so that we might comfort them which are in any trouble by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted by God.

How do we know that God is the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort?

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

See John 3:16.

God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to save and redeem all who would believe regarding him.

Dearly Beloved 09/02/24 Two Realities

Two Realities

Dearly beloved of God, we can choose between two realities.

One reality is the reality we face in the world. We see the evidence of this reality by the five senses.

The other is the reality when God enters the picture and gives us His Word. He is able and willing to perform His Word and make a way where there is no way. We see this reality by believing God at His Word.

We are faced with a decision like the one the children of Israel were faced with at Kadesh-Barnea.

One Body in Christ

Dearly beloved of God, I was sad yesterday as I drove home and saw one denominational church after another.

Christ did not give his life for us so that we could be divided. The Church is the body of Christ. It is one body of Christians, not many.

There were denominational divisions even as early as the first century Church; Judeans who were zealous for the law separated themselves from those who stood in the grace of God toward them in Christ. You can read about it in the book of Acts and Ephesians 2.
