Changes in the New Year

Dearly beloved of God, the New Year is a time that many people make resolutions to change. If we are alive, we are going to go through changes. Some of those changes are quite noteworthy.

We should not forget the resolutions that God made toward us. He keeps His resolutions.

Since we have confessed Jesus with our mouth and believed in our heart that God raised him from the dead we will be saved. That is quite a change, is it not?

We have changed from being death doomed mortals to having the hope of eternal life.
We have gone from being dead in sin in Adam unto made alive together with Christ.

We have changed from being guilty before God to being justified before God by Jesus Christ’s accomplishments.

Instead of being a sinner in Adam, we have the remission of sins in Christ, and in Christ we now stand before God as righteous, without any sense of sin, guilt, or short coming.

We have passed from the judgment of condemnation to having no more condemnation to us in Christ Jesus. We will never again come unto condemnation.

Instead of being an enemy of God, we have been reconciled to Him by Jesus Christ’s accomplishments. Now we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Instead of being far away from God, we are now near to Him, even of His household and we can continually observe His presence in our lives. He will never leave us, nor forsake us.

We have changed from being ungodly to being a child of the One True and Living God.

We have changed from being a child of disobedience to becoming a child of God.

We have changed from being without God in the world to having access to the Father by the spirit. In fact, we are being built together as God’s dwelling place by the spirit.

We have been delivered from the power of darkness and transferred into the kingdom of God’s beloved Son.

We have changed from being of the common lot of mankind to becoming sanctified and set apart in Christ as a holy one.

We have changed from coming short of the glory of God to rejoicing in hope of the glory of God.

Beloved, we are children of God, His heirs, and joint heirs with Christ. We will obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ when he comes.

We have changed from those headed into the wrath of God to being saved and delivered from it.

People will continue to make New Year’s resolutions, but God has made the greatest resolutions to us, and He is faithful, and they are all ours by the grace of God to us in Christ Jesus.

The Father freely gives us all things with Christ; ALL THINGS! God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm.

Resolve within yourself to walk worthy of the calling with which you are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with long suffering, forbearing one another in love; endeavoring to guard the unity of that is from the spirit in the uniting bond of peace.

Dearly beloved of God, be likeminded with your brothers and sisters in Christ, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.

Let the peace of God rule in your heart to which you are called in one body and be thankful, beloved of God. Above all, walk in the love of God, which is the bond of maturity.

Determine to grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ in the coming year.

Think in the same manner as Jesus Christ thought. Serve one another in love.

Be of the same mind in the Lord. Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice! The Lord is at hand.

Christ is coming so live with that expectation in your heart day by day. You will not be disappointed in your expectation of hope.
