Dearly Beloved

Paid In Full
Dearly beloved of God, we have received in full the benefits of everything that Jesus Christ accomplished for us.
We were dead in trespasses and sin, but Jesus paid for them in full. He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was laid on him. With his stripes we were healed.
Jesus Christ bore our sin, our bondage, our sickness, and our pain. He blotted out the handwritten document that was against us, which was hostile to us; he even took it out of the way nailing it to his cross.
What was this document that was against us? In the lands and times when the Bible was written it was customary that a person’s name and his debts were posted on the gate leading into the city.
If a benefactor came along and saw his friend’s debt posted on the gate and he decided to pay for them in full, the handwritten record listing his debts was folded over; it was doubled over. On the outside of the decree would be written “Paid in full by so and so [the benefactor]” and it would be nailed back on the gate for all to see
Colossians 2:14 says, “Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross.” Jesus Christ paid for them with his life.
Our sins, our bondage, our sickness, and our pains were paid for in full by Jesus Christ; they were nailed to his cross, and paid for in full with his life. They were doubled.
“For he [God] hath made him [Jesus] to be sin for us [a sin offering] that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” II Corinthians 5:21
He bore our debt in full; it was nailed to his cross. He paid for all of it, dearly beloved. Not only did he pay for them in full; we were made the righteousness of God in him.
He bore the curse of the law, and redeemed us from it being made a curse for us.
He bore the condemnation of the law so that we no longer come under its condemnation. He fulfilled the law.
Christ was the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believes on him.
Jesus Christ took the transgressions that were against us, the bondage, the sickness, and the pain, and he paid for our deliverance from them in full. They were doubled on his cross.
Dearly beloved, stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free and do not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
That yoke was the law. No one other than Jesus Christ ever kept the whole law. The law made every man guilty before God.
The Just One bore the penalty of the unjust in order to deliver us from its condemnation. Christ justified us from sin, from its guilt, and its condemnation. When he returns he will deliver us from the presence of sin; he will provide us with glorious new bodies like his.
Dearly beloved, Jesus Christ believed to fulfill all that was required of him in order to fulfill the justice of God so that we could be justified.
We were justified freely by the grace of God through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Therefore, being justified by believing, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. He provided us with access into this grace in which we stand, and we boast in hope of the glory of God.
Dearly beloved, we have received in full the benefits of everything that Jesus Christ accomplished for us. Live with joy and thanksgiving in your heart for all he has accomplished for us.
He is coming!
