The Door is Open
Dearly beloved of God, the door is open. God our Father has given us privileged access to Him by the spirit we received in the new birth, and He encourages us to use it with boldness and confidence.
The eye of the Lord is upon them that fear Him, upon them that hope in His mercy to deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the LORD: He is our help and our shield.
The psalmist sought the LORD and He heard him, and delivered him from all his fears, from all that made him afraid. The LORD heard him. The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry. The righteous cry, and the LORD hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles; He is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and He saves those who are bruised.
God, our Father, has tattooed us on the palms of His hands, and his hands are like walls before Him. We are dearly beloved and highly favored in His sight.
How profitable is prayer? Hezekiah knew. At a time when Assyria had compassed Jerusalem with their army, King Hezekiah became deathly ill during the siege. God sent Isaiah the prophet to tell him to get his house in order; he was going to die.
Hezekiah turned his face to the wall, and prayed to God to deliver him. Before Isaiah had left the court God sent him back to Hezekiah with the message that He would heal him, and give him fifteen more years to live. He gave him a sign to verify it; He moved the sundial back ten degrees.
Hezekiah prayed in secret, but God rewarded him openly. Assyria went home without a fight, and Hezekiah recovered from his illness three days later.
Does God love us less than Hezekiah? No, in Christ we are dearly beloved, and highly favored in His sight. He loves us the same as loved Jesus Christ according to John 17:23.
Dearly beloved, we are of privileged birth; we are the sons of God! God our Father has given us privileged access to His throne of grace so we can obtain timely help when we need it.
Dearly beloved of God, don’t faint – pray.
We are the children of God.
We are dearly beloved by the Father.
We have access to the Father by the spirit.
We have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm in Christ.
We have it all in all of us as the children of God!
Don’t faint – pray! Use your privileged access to your Heavenly Father; He desires that we boldly use it with confidence.
Dearly beloved, God our Father cares for us, so cast your cares upon Him. We have His attention. His eyes are upon us, and His ears are open to our prayers, in fact, He delights in them. Be confident that He will grant your petition when you ask according to His Will.
The door is open; enter the throne room as the privileged one you are in Christ.
