The Greatest Privilege
Dearly beloved of God, there is no greater privilege than being a child of the One True and Living God. Not only are you His child, you are an heir of God, and joint heir with Christ. As we suffer with Christ, so we will be glorified together with him when he returns to gather us up to him in the air.
There are two spiritual kingdoms: the Kingdom of God, and the kingdom of the so-called god of this evil age, Satan.
In the Kingdom of God, the Lord Jesus Christ is seated at God’s right hand as His second in command. Jesus Christ is Lord of all in heaven and earth. He is the mediator between God and man, and there is salvation in no other. He is Lord of the living and of the dead. He will subdue every enemy, and every knee will bow to him. God has committed all judgment unto him.
In the Kingdom of God, God rules over all. The Lord Jesus Christ is His second in command, there are God’s angels, and the children of God.
Satan’s Kingdom consists of himself, the one third of the angels that rebelled against God with him, and the children of the devil.
Far too many today do not understand that there are two gods, not one. Due to their ignorance of the Word of God many today attribute the actions of Satan to the One True and Living God, and they blame Him for what the adversary does. Revelation 12:9 reveals that Satan deceives the whole world.
In His Word, God reveals that Satan is the deceiver, the serpent, the liar, the murderer, the tempter, the hinderer, the accuser of the brethren; he is your adversary the devil. He is the prince of this world. He blinds the minds of those believe not so that the glorious gospel concerning Christ is not believed.
The One True God is light, and there is no darkness in Him, not even a shadow of turning. He does not vary; He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He does not change. He reveals His Will by His Word.
Satan, on the other hand, changes with every generation and culture in order to conceal himself. He works in darkness.
Satan steals, kills, and destroys people, while the One True and Living God blesses, saves, heals, prospers, and delivers people.
God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to declare Him to the world by the words he spoke, and by the works he did.
Acts 10:38
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost [pneuma hagion: holy spirit] and with power: Who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him.
John 10:10 contrasts the work of the devil with the work of the Lord Jesus Christ. He compares the devil to a thief.
“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
The goodness of God leads a person to a change of believing. God is only good; the adversary is only evil. Job 1 and 2 makes this perfectly clear.
The One True and Living God offers salvation and sonship to anyone that confesses Jesus as Lord and believes that God raised him from the dead. That person is born again of the spirit from God, and has become a child of God, an heir, and a joint heir with Christ in the Kingdom of God.
Thank God for His wonderful grace and love that He has shown us in Christ Jesus. What began for us in grace will end in glory, and that forever.
Dearly beloved, there is no greater privilege than being able to say that you are a child of the One True and Living God. The Father has freely given us all with things with His Beloved Son, and He has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm. Thank God for His unspeakable gift.
