Has God Spoken to You Lately?
Dearly beloved of God, has God spoken to you lately? Of course He has. The question is do we listen to what He has to say?
As the heavens are higher than the earth, so God’s thoughts are higher than our thoughts. He reveals His thoughts to us in His Word. We should adjust our thinking to His way of thinking. This is the renewing of the mind.
We are to believe what God says we are to believe in His Word; that is the right way of believing, and our Father would have us to believe who we are in Christ.
God our Father says that He freely gives us all things with His Son. He united us with Christ as members of his body, and filled us with all in all of us. How united are we? We are as he is.
We are complete in Christ Jesus; completely filled. He blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realm.
“With Christ I have been crucified and I live no longer, but living in me is Christ. So what I now live in the flesh I live by believing concerning the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20
Our union with Christ is an accomplished reality. We are planted together in his death and resurrection; we are grafted together with him in his accomplishments. Every member of the body of Christ completely shares in his accomplishments.
Dearly beloved, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things passed away. Behold, new things have come, and all the new things are from God, Who reconciled us to Himself through Christ. Think this way.
God considers us to be in Christ, and in Christ we are the children of God, heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ. In Christ we are members of the household of God.
God determined that our standing as His children would be in Christ, and He made him wisdom unto us, justness, and sanctification.
God freely justified us by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. There is no more condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. It is an accomplished reality.
Since we have redemption through his blood, and we are justified, we have the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace which He has abounded toward us.
When we believed in Christ, we were sealed with the holy spirit of promise, which is the earnest of our inheritance.
God made us alive together with Christ. Every child of God has access by that spirit unto the Father, and He exhorts us to utilize it with boldness and confidence. Listen to Him.
Dearly beloved, we stand before God in Christ, and we are holy and without blame and unimpeachable in His sight.
God will glorify us together with Christ; we will acquire the glory of the Lord Jesus Christ! It will take our Father the coming ages to display the exceeding riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. It is Christ in you, the hope of glory!
Each of the statements in this article came from a verse of scripture that is addressed to the Church, of which we are members. Look them up for yourself. God our Father has spoken to us, dearly beloved.
We don’t have to remind God to speak to us; He has. We need to listen to Him, and believe what He has said. Take Him at His Word, and hide His words in your heart, dearly beloved. Don’t ever take His Word for granted.
