Reality Check
Dearly beloved of God, God’s Word is always a greater reality than the circumstantial reality we see by our five senses.
For example, God promised Abraham a son when he was about a hundred years old. His wife Sarah was barren, and she was about ninety.
“By believing [God’s promise to him], even though he was past age – and Sarah herself was barren – was enabled to become a father because he considered Him faithful who had made the promise.” Hebrews 11:11 NIV
“He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith [the right way of believing; believing what God said] giving glory to God; and BEING FULLY PERSUADED that what He [God] had promised, He [God] was able also to perform.” Romans 4:20 and 21
God our Father freely gives us all things with His Son. He is for us, and He will never leave us, or forsake us. His throne of grace is open to us and He encourages us to come boldly to Him with confidence.
Regardless of the circumstances we may face, “…in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. For I AM PERSUADED, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created being shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:37-39
Which is the greater reality; the situation we face, or the delivering power of God?
The delivering power of God is the greater reality. The Almighty God is able and willing to perform His Word as we believe Him.
We must not succumb to the adversary’s attacks in unbelief.
We must be fully persuaded that what God promises, He is able and willing to perform; He is for us! Stand on God’s Word and you will witness the delivering power of God.
The promises of God become an experiential reality when we believe what God says; that is the right way of believing.
Dearly beloved, we walk by believing what God says, not by believing what our five senses register.
I know we are facing serious problems in our times, but the reality of our delivering God is a greater reality than any of the problems we face. We walk by believing what God says, not by what the world may say.
We have not been carried off into captivity to Babylon like Israel was, but God delivered those who believed Him even in captivity.
We haven’t been thrown in the lion’s den like Daniel was, but God delivered Him in those dire circumstances, and the same God will deliver us today.
We haven’t been thrown into a burning fiery furnace like Shadrack, Meshack, and Nebednego were, but God delivered them from the flames, and the same God will deliver us today if we will not bow.
We have not been stoned like Paul was, but God delivered him from death, and He will deliver us today regardless of the circumstances the adversary may throw at us.
Dearly beloved, regardless of what we may face in our times, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us; God says so! We are more than conquerors because God is for us, and we can count on His delivering power.
Fear not; He will deliver us from the things that make us afraid as we believe Him at His Word.
Be fully persuaded that our God is for us and that He is able and willing to perform His Word in our lives the same as He did for those who came before us. God our Father will never leave us, nor ever forsake us. He is with us and for us, dearly beloved, and in whatever state we may find ourselves, we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
God’s delivering power is always a greater reality than any circumstantial reality we may face.
