The Realm of the Miraculous
Dearly beloved of God, when we were born again of God’s spirit we received power from on high.
Throughout the book of Acts we see people manifest this power. They ministered the new birth to people, they worshiped God via the spirit, they received revelation that directed their steps, they ministered healing, and they performed miracles of deliverance.
Dearly beloved, our Heavenly Father is a miracle working God. The power of God and His Word are set forth at the very commencement of revelation.
God always accomplishes His purposes. Heaven and earth move at His Word. Nothing is too hard for Him because He is all-powerful. God is infinitely capable of performing His Word. Nothing can keep Him from His purposes. When He speaks, that settles it.
From the creation of the heavens and the earth, to the restoration of this heaven and earth, to the giving of His Word, to creating, forming, and making man, to the Divine conception of His Son, to raising Jesus Christ from the dead; to the new birth, to the nine manifestations of the holy spirit, to the gathering together of the Church into the heavenlies, to the coming of the Lord to reign on earth in the Lord’s Day, to the resurrection of the just and the unjust, to when He makes all things new again in the third heaven and earth – they all are demonstrations of God’s miraculous, supernatural power.
There has never been a great outreach of God’s Word that He did not confirm with signs, miracles, and wonders following. He is a miracle working God.
The One True Living God expects us to believe Him, to take Him at His Word because it expresses His will. When we walk out on the bridge of believing it takes us from the natural realm to God’s realm. It takes us from the impossible to the possible because the Living God backs up His Word.
The history of God’s dealings with His People chronicled in His Word sets forth the manifestation of His supernatural power to lead and deliver them.
There are no incurable diseases with the Living God, no obstacles greater than His ability and willingness to deliver, no circumstances from which He cannot, nor will not deliver us. All things are possible to the one that believes what He says.
Consider the record He reveals to us in Hebrews 11. By believing God these men and women did great exploits. Men such as Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Samuel, David, and so many others, all obtained a good report from God through one thing – believing.
Dearly beloved, we live in the presence of the miracle working God. We are His children, and as such, we received the divine nature. Walk in the power that our Father freely gave us in the new birth.
The Lord Jesus Christ said, “Verily, verily I say unto you, he that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go to the Father.” John 14:12
Jesus Christ gave his life to make this reality available to us. I did not make this up; he said it so it must be available. He told his disciples that when they received the holy spirit they would receive power from on high.
We live in the time that the spirit of God in the new birth is available to all men. Since we live in the reality of the new birth spirit, let us walk in the complete reality of that birth. It is the realm of the miraculous, dearly beloved.
